Slovakia is a small country in the heart of Europe (the middle point of Europe is in Slovakia, that is a fact) with amazing nature beauty, high mountains and historical cities... It has 5,410,836 poeple nad 49,035 square kilometers. The highest peak is Gerlachovský štít with 2,655 meters. It is located in our oldest national park, Vysoké Tatry. The capital city of Slovakia is Bratislava with 462,603 citizens. Bratislava is the largest city of Slovakia. It is located in southwestern Slovakia, occupying both banks of the Danube River and the left bank of the Morava River. Bratislava is the political, cultural, and economic centre of Slovakia. It is the seat of the Slovak president, the parliament, and the Slovak Executive. It is home to several universities, museums, theatres, galleries and other important cultural and educational institutions. Many of Slovakia's large businesses and financial institutions also have headquarters there.
